St. Wilfrid’s Hospice Coastal Yacht Challenge – more news
For those of you waiting to see the pictures from the St. Wilfrid’s Hospice Coastal Yacht Challenge, I’m sorry to keep you hanging on but I’m still working my way through the pictures. It’s taking longer than I expected due to a couple of unusual requirements. First, I am having to straighten each picture (try getting the horizon level on a boat that’s rocking!). But more time-consuming is identifying each prominent boat in each picture.
I’m doing this to help crew members find picture of interest without having to search through nearly 500 thumbnails trying to identify their boats.
A number of boats are not clearly marked and others are difficult to make out from some angles so it’s taking time.
Please bear with me. I’m hoping I’ll be finished by the end of today but the pictures may not be up before tomorrow.
I am able to confirm that there are some very nice pictures here and the late afternoon sun has picked out the bright colours in the sails.
The attached picture is of the first boat home, as it was crossing the finishing line.
