How to Use Video to Sell

This is one of a series of videos we’re doing for Citroemech, a local garage business, who happens to be our neighbour.

Video testimonials are a very effective way to give people confidence in your business and this is especially valuable in markets which have a poor reputation for honesty or reliability.

The important thing here is that this is entirely off the cuff and spontaneous. We offered no questions or prompting. There was no rehearsal or briefing. It looks genuine because it is.

On this occasion, it was all done in one take but not all customers are as confident and fluid as this one. But that’s OK. If people stumble or dry up, we simply let them compose themselves and continue. We’re not looking for professional delivery. Any mistakes can be cut out in the edit.

A video testimonial like this is inexpensive and effective; and a powerful way to convince hesitant prospects that you’re safe to do business with.
